CY One

The Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Plant was one of the early nuclear power generating facilities to go into service in this country. It was a pressurized water reactor designed and built by Westinghouse. This view is from across the  Connecticut River in a state park The photo was taken in the September, 1989. The plant has been closed permanently and is undergoing the first stages of decommissioning.
