Shasta Morning

It was a cold morning early in December, 1991. As I was resting during my drive back to Portland, Oregon from Phoenix, I saw these stirring clouds hovering in the slipstream in the lee of Mount Shasta. In order to take this photo I used a frosty picnic table as a rest. This is about a 1 sec. exposure on Tri-X taken from a rest area on I-5 just north of Weed, California.
